About the Position
We are looking for a digital analytics strategist to join our Insights and Optimization team. This role can be remote anywhere in the US, with occasional travel required. The ideal candidate is someone with a passion for using data to tell stories, surface insights, and inform decisions. This role will focus predominantly on web analytics, and we are not currently looking for a Data Scientist.


The ideal candidate:

  • Has a solid understanding of web fundamentals, web analytics, and tag management
  • Has the ability to conduct insightful analysis of data to help clients answer key business questions
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to succinctly summarize key findings
  • Has 3+ years of hands-on experience in analytics solution design, configuration, and reporting


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee requirements definition of complex measurement and tracking solutions
  • Help clients and internal teams document, report, and understand quantifiable user behavior metrics
  • Conduct analytics audits of client digital properties as part of project discovery
  • Lead stakeholder discussions and help clients to translate business objectives into website KPIs
  • Produce analytics measurement plans for all types of digital properties – from single-page applications to large multi-site platforms
  • Design and build analytics dashboards and custom reports according to client needs
  • Train clients on how to access and leverage their data to make informed decisions
  • Work with our Experience Design team to align measurement needs to UX strategy and provide data analysis support for user testing and optimization activities
  • Work with our Solutions Consulting team to define specifications for technical implementation


Desired Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Analytics 360, and/or Adobe Analytics
  • Ability to define and configure segments, views, custom dimensions, metrics, and variables
  • Ability to design analytics solutions for conversion tracking including the set-up of goals, funnels, and event tracking
  • Ability to produce custom reports, configure views, and to perform ad hoc analysis of analytics data
  • Ability to build dashboards and reports using Google Data Studio, Tableau, Domo, or other business intelligence and data visualization tools
  • Ability to configure tag management platforms such as Google Tag Manager, Tealium, or Adobe DTM.


Nice to Have

  • Experience planning and conducting A/B tests, and/or interpreting results from content experiments
  • Experience with analytics and reporting from email marketing and/or marketing automation platforms such as Marketo, Eloqua, or similar.
  • Experience with configuring analytics for remarketing / Google Ads conversion tracking
  • Experience with heat-mapping and/or session recording platforms such as HotJar, FullStory, or similar.
  • Experience with analytics for real-time personalization with platforms such as Adobe Target, Acquia Lift, Optimizely, or Evergage
  • Ability to write SQL-based queries to extract data for analysis
  • Experience conducting technical SEO audits and making SEO recommendations
  • Experience implementing analytics for native mobile apps and/or offline applications
  • An analytics certification such as Google Analytics IQ, DAA Web Analyst Certification, or similar
